Al.Fisherman New Member Oct 22, 2011 #2 Most likely it is a 6mm, but I've run into all or those sizes. The one that blew my mind was the 8mm X 1.0. It was hard to find the material to make the studs, with the 6mm X 1.0 and the 8mm X 1.25 being the most common.

H his196 New Member Oct 22, 2011 #3 Oops, just saw this, so you're saying probably a 6mm x 1.0. If I go 8mm, will they self tap, or not a good idea/not necessary? Thanks. ~CB

Thanks. ~CB Click to expand... Going to a 8mm serves no purpose, they will NOT self tap. Like I said in our conservation, go with Metric 8.8 studs followed by lock nuts.
