SB, Yeas actually in the first two frames the parts I wanted to show were all but gone. Just a small portion of the areas I was describing showed up on the post, but when we looked at them on this end (after resizing) they looked fine. My IT specialist couldn't understand what happened, and was leaving for the week. Just thought you might have an idea. As a matter of fact, I might have sent you some of those pics long ago. Looks good, Dan. How does it feel sitting on it? Do you need to get the seat back some more somehow? If you think so, maybe you could make something up at work... plenty of time to think about that later. The fuel bowl turned out good and the transmission shroud is perfect. Have you fired up the motor yet? Man you're patient... I'd have been riding that around before the paint was dry. More pictures with fenders and drop stand!

azbill, Sorry it took so long to get back with you. Having some computer problems on this end. It's goin in the shop tomorrow. Thanks for the interest. The tank is about 2 1/2"x3"x 24". That's alot of cubic inches, but I don't know what it translates into as liquid volume, and yes I'll forget about it and run out. I already do that. Got it running this past weekend and top end is fast. Probably need a bigger drive sprocket for my big butt. Got to reconstruct a rear fender and make a drivechain guard. Hope to have some photos later in the week. Thanks, Dan

Alright Dan My EZ has a 56 tooth rear sprocket.

Well, finally a little progress to report even though I'm about a month behind where I wanted to be. Had the bike ready for the Central Pa Rally, but weather was iffy and since I don't ride in the rain I wasn't going to haul it in the rain. Rally was great and I enjoyed seeing everyone. I have the fenders on thanks to the fact that the front struts off the donor 52 Scwhinn fit the worksman. Since the rear struts on the Schwinns not attached to the axles they are too short unless the dropouts have a tab added to the top to accomodate the shorter struts. Didn't know that when I was welding on the frame and I wasn't up for stripping things down. So after mounting the rear fender I was in need of two more struts for the front. After looking on e-bay and everywhere I could think I called on SB. He came through big time and now have both fenders on. I was able to use the chainguard off the old Schwinn. Had to weld on some small mounts and weld a tab near the rear axle which I had done before I started mounting the motor. I also made a little chain guard to mount behind the EZM drive to reduce the chances of getting tangled up in the drive chain. I have a rear drop stand made, but I'm having some trouble coming up with a fender clip to hold it. Got a Whizzer clip, but the profile doesn't line up correctly and while trying to persuade it I broke it. As many of you know alot of spring steel is very brittle. I will come with something and would like any suggestions if you care to offer an idea. Hope this build is of some help when it comes to modifying the Worksman frames.

One other thing that has changed that I forgot to mention is the rear sprocket. The sprocket with the EZM kit was a 54 or 56 tooth sprocket I think and it has as amazing top end. I was blown away how fast it went, but being a geezer and most of my riding is around our small town, low end is more helpful. I got a 66 tooth from Pirate Cycles (delivered in a few days) and it helps the low end alot. I'm about 6'1"/190 so I need a little help getting going and I generally cruise at 15-20mph anyway.

Your stretch looks classy. The handlebars are way cool, too, and not the same ones you had on it before. I thought those other ones might be too narrow for you. A thought on the rear drop stand would be to use a spring arrangement instead of a fender catch. What I'm picturing is a spring which is under tension in two positions, with the bike on the stand and off, losing tension mid way as you raise and lower it. Must be a way to do that. You're smarter than me at figuring this stuff out. Think about it. It may not be the way it was done back when, but I think it would work better. Center stands are set up that way.
Looking forward to riding with you this fall. I think your bike turned out great!
