Help!. clutch plate

i cannot seem to get the clutch plate off the motor im first time building and the screws have started to strip.... any techniques of getting the screws out safely so i can wind on the chain

What are you working on...it would help to know?

Here's what I did. I only had a small flat head screw driver, vice grips and a a little elbow grease. I recommend using the bigger flat head that will fit snug in the screw, but use the vice grips on the screw driver to turn it and push down on the screw driver as hard as you can. Do this slow but with lots of power going into it, it should pop lose and be easier from there.
