Kevlarr New Member Aug 22, 2010 #28 This saga reminds me of a old neighbor of mine. Spent all week putting a replacement 16hp twin in his John Deere lawn tractor only problem was he just assumed the new engine came with oil in it. He was able to mow about 20' before it threw a rod.

Got an rod replacement assembly and other parts from Bicycle Engines, Motorized Bicycles, Bicycle Motors, Motored Bikes: 2-Stroke & 4-Stroke Kits! I just polished up the rod journal and was good to go.

A athletichunta New Member Aug 24, 2010 #31 The motor smells like butt, and I did try to open it up but it seems like it welded it self shut or something, it won't open /: .. I'm just gonna buy this 49cc Gas Powered 4 Stroke Engine with Clutch - $189.99 And use my current gear box on it. I hope that works.
