How long will my battery last with this light per charge question?

If I have a 2.4W led bulb rated 6v-17v and a 9.6v 2500mah battery. How do I figure out how long the light will stay lit per charge?

Thanks,
Pat

Huh I never tried them. They popped right up in google search. I am sure there is an algebraic equitation out there I would have to find it. I slept since the last time I have crunched those numbers. Pull up the math formula and give me the numbers I will work it for ya.

Just too tired to google right now. Sorry boss
There is some one who will pipe in soon here if they don't I will get back to it. I am supposed to know some of this stuff. Don't mind relearning it.

Ok someone correct me if I'm wrong (been a long time since I've done this too)

I'm going to have to assume your 2.4W bulb is drawing a constant amperage across the whole voltage range (it most likely doesn't) so 2.4w / 9.6v = .25A

So we'll say you're LED is going to draw a quarter of an amp

Your battery is 2500mAh or 2.5Ah soooooo 2.5Ah / .25A = 10 hours.

Thanks again Buddy. That made it real easy. If its anywhere near the 10 hr ballpark that will be fine. It actually needs to last 5 hrs
