HF gas tank cap

Thanks Dan I borrowed the cap off my 1950 8N Ford tractor until I get my 1 gallon tank mounted. I changed motor mounts on my bike and was trying it out to see if there was any difference. Filled it with gas and guess I didn't get it tight and took off like my tail was on fire. Somewhere in the first two miles it came off and splashed gas on the seat of my pants. stuck my hand cleaning rag in the hole and limped home feeling rather dumb.

Yours if ya need it Elmo.

(if these things don't make ya feel dumb a few times a month, ya just ain't trying hard enough, snork)

Off topic but making a stainless steel tea kettle into a rack mounted fuel tank. I can solder the bolts but am wondering if I can just use nylon washers for the bolts an' petcock?

(Doing a a CPVC one too so this would be great if it will work)

I think silver solder, Probably too thin for nylon washers.
