How about this for a ride in Washington, D.C. on March 27, 2010 it's:

The National Cherry Blossom Festival is a spring celebration in Washington, D.C. commemorating the March 27, 1912, gift of Japanese cherry trees from Mayor Yukio Ozaki of Tokyo to the city of Washington. Mayor Ozaki donated the trees in an effort to enhance the growing friendship between the United States and Japan and also celebrate the continued close relationship between the two nations.

This could be a lot of fun for new motorbicyclist's, there's so much to see and ride thru in Washington, D.C. Georgetown is always a blast to ride thru as well!

Again please post any other events you have thought of to share with the Washington, D.C. area motorized bicycling community here.

i live like a hour or 2 away from dc, let me know whats up and ill be there for sure, as long as im not the only one lol

Hey Aspireone thanks for the reply I'm hoping to get as many people together for rides in and around Wash, D.C.

It would be nice to have some weekend greet meet & rides for us Wash, D.C., Maryland, and Northern Virginia area members who'd like to promote motorized bicycling, and share our knowledge & talents building, repairing motorized bicycles.

Again we are in the infant stages of building our base of local riders, so please any local riders post your ideas for rides if Aspireone is willing to drive 90 miles we should be able motivate riders closer to Washington, D.C. To come together for some weekend rides or events!

drive? im riding my MB! :) i love the dc area and used to live in silver spring which is another nice area to drive around, the mongomery county mall which is not that far away from dc/ silverspring could be a nice meeting place, its central to about everything, im pretty much free monday through thurdsday all day, but on the weekends i work all day friday through sunday so when we do this i need a week advance notice so i can find someone to cover me at work. come all you dc area MB riders, SPEAK UP and lets RALLY!! :))

I can see it now on all the cable news networks, obama the motorized bicycler, nice rides with the ss escort no stopping running the red lights with impunity!
