Just wanted to say easiest way to mount on stretch cruiser was first brought to my attention,

by: RedB66 who suggested the (Simpson A24 Strong Ties) available for about $2.00 a piece at your local home improvement stores.

Will post more information soon.

Pic's attached show stretch cruiser I'm building for a customer using the RedB66 designed motor mounts!

Two (2) of the pic's are from RedB66 a black stretch cruiser he built for one of his customers!

RedB66 used heavy duty wheels on his build, however my customer requested that he wants to use the 68 spoke wheel.

I made big mistake on this build take my advice don't try it mounting a sprocket on a 68 spoke wheel took me about 6 hours to finally get it right.

Now I'm suffering from 68 spoke-finger-itis won't be able to shoot bow & arrows for a while after mounting sprocket to this 68 spoke wheel!!!

I have three (3) more stretch's in the pipeline, motor mounts are great thanks for the design RedB66!!!

BTW, these RedB66, designed motor mounts can be used for almost any frame tube large or small.

Just out of curiosity... why cant the engine be mouted to the seatpost tube using the factory mount, & one of these custom mounts only in the front???
It looks like it should work that way, & save yourself some chain???
 
Venice Motor Bikes, Why it's just personal preference also like moving motor forward for a more balanced look in the stretch cruiser frame big space to fill.

Those of you interested in using the RedB66 designed stretch cruiser motor mounts just e-mail me if you need more info or instructions regarding these motor mounts which can be used for other style frames than just stretch cruisers.

Capriottkid you have to put the simpson A-24 Strong ties in a vise to bend them I use 5lb hammer and the small piece sitting on top or rear motor mount is a piece of simpson A-24 strong tie that is hiding the factory semi-circle mount its where you could mount your motor to seat/down post.

As to where to buy the muffler clamps/bracket any auto parts store.

Capriottkid, you can purchase the simpson A-24 Strong Ties at Lowe's Home Depot or any building supply in your community.

Capriottikid, I hope you decide to build yourself a Stretch Cruiser just from my experience I think you'll love this style of motorized bicycle.

Great to see this build! Thank you for taking the time to post the pics.
Im working on my first build and it happens to be a Dyno coaster.
So far the most significant issues are drive side chain rub on the tire,
and the complete fialure of the rear hub assembly.
I welded on a spacer for the coaster brake arm to clear the sprocket, and it failed at 200
or so, miles. Now I'm thinking about going with a free wheel hub, but I'm not sure
how that will go together.
I sure would like rear brakes! Thanks again! I dont know how to get pictures up on hear yet, but I'll work on it!
 
Hey, hope you aren't having to much trouble with your chain rubbing issues, you can also carefully spread open the seat stays but be careful remember this is chinesium steel very weak. Just Curious did you use the same motor-mounts that I used the simpson strong ties originally designed by RedB66?

BTW, you can post pic's after you've posted three times here in the forum the reason it's done this way is to prevent spammer's from posting krap on the forum, for more help on posting pic's look at picture's & video thread and you see there are tutorials posted they're.

Alway's mount the simpson strong ties to motor first, I used epoxy / plastic coated tie wire to hold my motor in the frame till I got the bolts thru the brackets.

The motor-mount's I used 1-1/2 inch muffler clamps you need 4 of them all together grind off the tips and file the front one's a lil bit remember to throw away the u-bolts they will crush the frame tube if used get 2-inch bolts also to hold them to the simpson ties.

Hello jdm57, I'd like to share this with everyone, this is where I originally posted how to make your own motor mounts.

RedB66 designed motor mounts which can be used for almost any bike frame, especially the stretch cruiser build.

I use these mounts for my Greenline Stretch Cruisers builds, hope that this will help you.

Hello everyone. I have just purchased a electra ghostrider that is mildly stretched. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas how to mount a Engine with a jachshaft. I would like to use the gears in the internal hub because i am going to make a sidecar for this bike. Any help would be most appreciated.

Just curious .. I havnt seen one of these stretches first hand, they seem pretty large.I have only pictures... how tall are You guys riding them... might consider one I am 5 foot 6 tall

5' 9" 205 lbs. They are not good bikes to pedal but cruising "Motor-assisted" is great!!
