Motorized Bicycle Gear Calculator

the mph one does nothing for me. I entered it all in and it just sits there. I must be doing something wrong.

Yeah I tried it Deacon and it does not work for me as well ?????

If you guy's run across anymore post them here. :ride2:

works fine for me. Only when using Internet Explorer. 13, 200, 1 should get you 15.something.

I guess its like the chat box for me...one day it will work for like five minutes..then all it says is "loading" it has not worked for me in weeks.

This is a great way to see "how fast" someone could relatively go on a motor bike at a certain rpm. I used it with a 26" rim 11tooth drive sprocket, 36tooth rear sprocket, and an rpm of 2200. It gave me the speed of 52mph. But somehow this does not seem right. But I don't know when I buid my bike I will put a tach and a speed gauge to see how close it is.

454 you forgot to add in the gear reduction on the clutch gear, that makes a big difference. I'm not sure what the reduction ratio is though.

how do you work out multible rations like a 3way jackshaft?

Here is my version of gear calc. It's small Open Office's spread sheet. It allows to calculate spead depends of wheel size, engine's RPMs and sprockets sizes in standard engine set and Shift Kit with standard bikes gears on rear wheel.
I hope it will be usefull for somebody :)
It'll be nice to see some suggestions and ideas to bild up this calculator.

Very cool and thanks for sharing Coval.

I associated this with MSW infopath 2003 and won't work. Any one know how I can get it to open in another program?
