I don't know I've never put a tach on one to find out I just rev it until it won't go no faster, but only under a load don't wind it out with out a load or the insides will very quickly be on the out side.

"I just rev it until it won't go no faster" Thats what I'm talking about.Average bike,44tooth sprocket,level ground.Any guesses?

I Use a Sen Dec Tach and have had my motor up to 6300 RPM.....Didn't want to go further for fear of blowing the engine...(I have a Dax 70).

I made a chart with a gearing calculator and taped it to the bars.

6000 = 48kmh which sounds a little strained.

It will easily run up over 50 on flat ground...

Half throttle is 44kmh on the flat which is my normal cruising speed.

That is 5500rpm and it sounds happy there.

Wild,Are you saying 50MPH! What sort of setup you running.With my 44 tooth 70cc anything over 27MPH is like those old test pilots trying to break thru the sound barrier.Handlebar vibrates to the point where it's almost painful to keep your grip.Ron

lol,I see that now.Probably ought to have my eyes examined before I get back in the saddle!Thanks,Ron
