Will either of these bikes work w/ a jackshaft??

I don/t have the $$$ for a jackshaft yet, but would like to be able to add it later...

Any negatives for me building either of these bikes???

My mountain bike is too uncomfortable for all the miles I put on it.....(250 miles in the last month)

I peddled around on a friends chief and what a comfortable ride.... Feet forward, just like a rolling easy chair....

Well, it looks to me like the second bike is better. I'm only saying that because when I contacted SBP, they told me you need a minimum of 1.5 inches of clearance between the seat tube (the rear tube you stick the seat in) and the rear tire. I say that because when you install a jack-shaft, there is 1.25-1.5 inches of used space.

That was good to know, because the bike I previously had didn't have enough room, and it would have made my previous purchase good for nothing.

As far at the bikes themselves go, I have no idea. Just make sure you get a bike with enough room behind the rear seat to clear the saft itself.
