why does this crap always seem to happen to me

Just got a call from a guy that bought a kit online - doesn't like the motor because piston moves left/right too much - no up/down play at all.

Wants to come to shop to buy new kit, but wants me to open some motors so he can check side play.

Maybe I won't answer phone when he calls back for directions to the shop : (
 
not quite so peculiar after all

he came by today and is just buying kits to assess quality levels for a hobbyist-oriented business of building these motors out to become some serious race motors, and intends to redo a lot of casting/machining as needed

Where is he racing? "Street racing" does not count.
Sat Oct 27th in the Perris Fairgrounds at Apex Kart Track has motorized bicycle racers coming from all around the USA to compete against the fastest track bikes.
