Article is mainly about the price of lead and how it's affected by China's e bike demand.
But this got me thinking, China dominates the ebike market and it's their need and demand that made electric bicycles more available to us outside of China. As China grows internally they have a large need to extend the range of alternative powered vechicles. I know China has built ebikes that use hydrogen (replaceable canisters) to charge ebike batteries to extend the range over 100 miles. While hydrogen isn't currently cheap enough to be an affordable\competitive alternative to gas for cars it could be more practical for e bikes.
So do you think hydrogen fuel cells are the next technology we will be using to extend e bike range here or do you think advancements in battery design or other technology is our next step?
