Nope, starter fluid, unlike normal gas, WILL ignite if there's a spark, even with very low compression or with the carb removed. Gas can refuse to ignite for a lot more reasons than starter fluid can. Improper gas/air mixture, for one, is not a concern with starter fluid.

IT WORKS IT WORKS!! Crassius it WAS the magneto rotor, i had it on backwards because i didn't know it COULD be backwards lol started on the first pull! Now to fix the pull start which broke immediately :p

backwards rotor will make spark at wrong time

stud should have enough washers to leave no more than 4 threads above the lock washer

cold compression is amount on a cold motor (as opposed to one that has run enough to be warmed up)
