Toothed belt info wanted

I've been musing in DIY bikes about this, but perhaps here is the best place. Does anyone know anything about using toothed belt final drives?


Things that are useful are what sort of tooth design is best, how wide does it need to be to transmit whatever power our engines kick out, the best way of mounting pulleys etc.

Matching power to sprocket width and diameter in the selection of parts is critical. Too small in either factor will result in short or non existent belt life.

He suggested P.48 as a starting point for mixing and matching.
