Taking off back wheel ?

I do apologize for the amount of threads that I have posted. But I want to separate my issues. This thread is in regards to changing the back tire. The person who constructed my bike for some reason isn't responding to any of my calls in regards to how to do this. Just by looking at the bike it seems pretty simple.

Loosen top adjustable looking nut from the pulley ( name?) to loosen chain, then loosen drop out nuts on frame to drop wheel? Seems simple enough. I'm just coming here to see if there will be any complications with this before I proceed. I got a brand-new tire from the bicycle shop as the guy said my back tire was on the verge of losing itself .here are pictures of my bike. I posted them to another
website because the forum won't let me upload them. Last pic is a list of tools I have so far :-). What isn't pictured is my screwdriver and adjustable wrench

It's easy on your bike.

Loosen or remove the plastic wheel on the chain tensioner, on the motor side.

Then loosen the two axle nuts on the wheel and it'll drop right out.

Remember which gear it's in on the pedal side and put it back on in the same gear.

Tighten the axle nuts back up, put the plastic wheel back on the tensioner and push it up into the motor chain and tighten it up.

Done.
 
Would there be a problem if I didn't put the chain back on the link it was on? I am thinking of converting it to single speed that's why I was asking. I was advised to get a free wheel so it looks like I will probably have to take the sprocket off as well. I suppose that shouldn't be complicated by the looks of things
 
If you put it on a different cog it won't matter, it'll just shift into gear as soon as you start pedaling.

You can get a single speed freewheel, and get rid of the derrailuer, but it might mess up your pedal side chainline. (The straightness of your chain from the front chainring to the back freewheel.)
