It's a speedway racer from Australia. Thought it'd make a nice looking tribute bike.

Looks like a Harley iron head with one jug removed. What type of engine is that?

You got it! I’ve heard another single cylinder Sporty and it sounds Like a old school turn of the century bike. And weird, like it’s got a fouled plug.
I was at a practice oval with my dirt track Pinto back in the day when a guy showed up with a Speedway bike and needed help starting it. I shoved for all my skinny butt was worth but that wasn't working. So we switched places and got it fired with me on it. Not having brakes kinda freaked me out and there was no way I was gonna do anything but pull the clutch and keep it running! The idea of whacking it wide open was not an option.
