You could try using pipe strapping, it's widely available at hardware stores, it comes in a roll, and cuts easily with tinsnips, and it has pre-drilled holes. Get the copper kind, not the plastic kind. You could also try pipe brackets (they are galvanized steel), also available at the local hardwarestore. Hope this helps, it'll probably be more economical than buying on-line, because you won't have to pay shipping costs on top of a 50¢ item.

I di what rambler mentioned as my stock bracket were too narrow. I used the galvanized steel variety. I may have a set though Kevron 99, measure from center to center of the studs on you're gastank and I will see if they are close.
