Earlier today the bike looked like this....

And now it looks like this....

Gotta get some stripping gel for the hard spots....

Unfortunately a 4 stroke just wont fit..... Gonna have to get creative to make a 2 stroke look good on it.....

Heavy bike, the front basket weighs as much as new bikes......

Definitely have to make a gas tank for the "tank" area between the top bars....Time to practice plastic welding.....

Any ideas or tips always welcome.......

Use some Lacquer thinner, rag and some muscle you'll be amazed at the result you'll get for removing paint.

What color are you going to paint it?

Also, this bike has the kick back 2 speed rear hub.... Should I keep it on the bike, or just save it and put a new strong rear wheel on it?????

Yes keep the two speed kick back! and to add a vintage instead of modern look use cream color instead of pure white.

you won't get much use out of the hub once you put the motor on. they are heavy duty hubs, though.

but you might want to upgrade to a better wheel. those cheesy little spokes won't hold up too long.

This is how far I've gotten so far.........
I'm thinking springer fork, new color matched wheels, keep the back rack and some short ape hangers to make it comfortable... ( I hate bikes you lean over the handlebars)....
