The ONLY way to know is to measure the hub and know the inside diameter of the adapter. The measurement must be exact. A few thousands can make the difference if the adapter will work on the hub or not.

Yes, it's because that bike doesn't have a coaster brake...

Just as 2door said, you won't know what (if any?) hub adapters will work until you measure the hub on the bike.
