Building this bike with a Grubee rat motor and Electric front Hub with ebike kit electric 48 volt... Picking up frame (from paint shop) next week - will post completed photos... Tri Power = 3 speed / gas upto 35mph / electric - lithium upto 24 mph!

I will actually be using a production Spoiler Frame as only a couple of the frames in this picture [prototypes] were ever produced.

This is the style I am building - except it will be stock ]Spoiler] Black metallic. All parts in... Assembly begins late this week!

Not designed to run both at once.... Basically front hub motor as an electric start to pull you up to start speed then drop the clutch. OR... Electric when tooling around people or bike paths where gas motor prohibited.

Not too heavy... the electric motor is e-bike kit "geared" front hub laced into aluminum 20 x 4.25 front wheel = their hub is small and lightweight - the 48 volt lithium weighs only 9 lbs. Schwinn Spoiler is all aluminum frame tubes and my prototype forks are Extra wide All aluminum with aluminum [not steel] fork legs. It will achieve say 22+ mph electric and with Hy-Per upgrades on gas motor - super rat with Hi- Comp head, etc... will achieve 34 mph range gas...

This unit is heavier than Spoiler s.S. Project and does 22+mph electric and 34 mph gas and not really broke in yet....

Sounds like your building a hybrid.That is pretty awesome. I thought about doing something similar, but with Butanol as fuel.
