speedo: use MTB or road bike settings for a cruiser?

I just picked up a Bell cyclocomputer & was getting ready to set it up, but I'm not sure what wheel settings to use....the manual has instructions for mountain bikes & road bikes, but I'm on a cruiser.

Any input?

MTB is probably the closest. But to be accurate, carefully measure the rolling circumference of the wheel in millimeters and use that number. For a 26" wheel, it will probably be somewhere around 2073.

An easy way to get the exact number that Cromagnum suggested is to make a mark on your front tire where it meets the floor and another corresponding mark on the floor. Roll the bike to make one full revolution of the wheel and mark the floor to meet the mark on the tire. Now measure the distance between the two floor marks, convert to milimeters, and that's the number you use to program your speedo. When rolling the bike it must roll in a straight line. No curve.

I make sure to inflate the front tire to what I like it at before measuring the circumference.
Also, I sit on the bike when I roll it, to get the most accurate figure. Check the tire often to keep the speedo accurate.
