slanted head dose the direction matter

I got a new engine and I notased the head is on backwards. Normally the spark plug points towards the manifold but on this one it points forward.

is this wrong or dose it not matter? I didn't see it till after I finished installing it and the bike may be running a little sluggish although its a cold day and its a new engine and also I only went down the street so that may not be abnormal.
 
Some people say is does matter, (the direction of the flame kernel and all that) but for the most part, you can install it in whatever direction looks the best and fits the best.
 
I have no idea about the angle but wherever everywhere is please send some cold air to florida thanks Bob Buchholz BUHZ
