Skyhawk Frame Gas Cap Issues???

Any of you guys with the skyhawk frame have issues with vapor lock? I have to dang near have the cap all the loose! Am I doing something wrong?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

i havent gotten mine running yet but when i read this i went and checked mine
sure enough the tiny vent hole was plugged
maybe thats what happened to yours
i used a needle for mine ..thank you for alerting me to this as well
hope it works out for you
 
good news wing nut, but I drilled mine out with a slightly bigger drill bit than the hole and I'm still having the same issue. Guess I'm going to have to do some more detective work! LOL
 
i pulled the white cord off mine & the black inner cap off & found a rubber gasket ..with no possible way to vent either way
looks like i gotta address that issue ..vent it , or remove it
 
cool ..does doing that allow fuel to slosh out ?
im going to heat up a needle & melt thru that rubber gasket
hopefully that will allow it to vent and not allow fuel to come out
