In Singpore, Legal Motorized bicycles is only allowed to go 25 km/h
You should at least be 16 years old.
Motor cannot power the bicycle unless the rider starts to pedal.
Only up to 200 watts of power is allowed.

25km? then whats the point of the 16 year old minimum? a 12 year old could pedal at those speeds easy enough on the right bicycle.

seems pretty lame is there any real justification for this set of rules?


the articles justification seemed pretty generic. aside from traveling huge distances since it's gas powered, this essentially renders motorized bicycles pointless because traveling at bicycle speeds in town meanss you mite as well just pedal your bike. not like you're gonna save any time.
