Can any body explain what the difference is between Sine wave and square wave brushless controller's.

No experience with them on bikes, but as a sparky, sine wave is much better.
Will produce better torque.
Make motor run cooler,
Quieter.
Sine wave is generally dearer.
Takes a Microprocessor to create sine wave.
Square wave is just on/off with SCR.
Maybe look up AC motor theory.

I noticed bms battery has both kinds. The 750w sensorless controller is square wave. The sine wave controller uses hall effect sensors .They have a new lcd display as well. its quite impressive . http://www.bmsbattery.com/controller/670-s-led770-e-bike-led-meter.html city e cycle has instructions. http://www.cityecycle.ca/#!support
