I was wondering if any of you guys could tell me if the Simplex Servi Cycles are road legal. I have a cycle endorsment here in MI. I have my eye on one but would love to run it all over town.

Thanks,

If you can prove that it has all the applicable lighting and safety equipment as required when it was manufactured, you should have no problems.
It most likely does not have everything that modern biked are required to have, but most all older or antique vehicles do not need to be brought up to current standards to be legal.

I guess what I was getting at was, were they originally titled as a cycle or were they mopeds? If they were titled at one time there would be no problem applying for one.

I have no idea. I venture a guess that they are small motorcycles though.
Yes, they all were road legal. I read up on them when I was researching info on a Harley-Davidson Servicar. I found them interesting!

They're motorcycles all the way. You'll need a motorcycle license, registration, and inspection to ride it on the street in most states.

I saw a couple of them riding here in Dallas last year.
