simple concept for Schwinn OCC conversion to swing-arm

can anyone see any problems with this? Sorry for the terrible hand writing, and inaccuracies in the drawing. (not to scale) this is just a rough draft


words say:

Steel support

pivot or hinge

shock.

the dots represent the tire

I like it, but have no frame building experience. A "softail" would be easier.
On bicycles, softails have no pivot, but rely on the flexing of the chain stays. Part of the seat stay is cut out and replaced with an elastomer or shock (like the Trek STP or KHS ST. Softails are easier to build than swing arms, but yield only an inch or so of travel.
