what kind do you all use?

i use a shimano st-ef40 (i think it's discontinued)

i took the right one (rear shifter) flipped it upside down and put it on the left side.

makes for quick shifting since it's just a simple click and it's up one gear. then it shifts down quickly when i'm coming to a stop.

A little bit of old-school on my new-school ride. 3-speed trigger shifter and trigger throttle get me trigger-happy!

Edit: I dig your setup, Skarrd. Those are pretty controls :D

I really like MTB "trigger" shifters with my 7-speed derailleur. The indexing allows me to quickly tick up and down gears. The trouble is that the levers don't fit well with the "chunkiness" of the twist-grip throttle, so I have to reach a bit awkwardly to down-shift.

I'd love to find a better twist-grip throttle that isn't so chunky. The best I could come up with is to use an internal twist throttle. They are mostly made for sleek custom motorcycles, so I would have to change my handlebars to 1" moto bars instead of the standard 7/8" bicycle bars.

I might just deal with it until I can get my hands on a 7/8" internal twist throttle.
