Shift kit nuts

I am trying to tighten the nuts on the shift kit mount (circled blue) but I can't fit a wrench or socket in there, any suggestions will help.

Maybe your only option is to unbolt the motor for better access to the nuts in question...
I go down the two steps forward, one step backwards all the time...

thin wall socket, grind down open end wrench, bend a wrench handle - I often just take a 12th of a turn, flip the wrench and get another 12th and so on
