We have (had) a member, Dagwood, who advocated soft mounting and to date is the only one who has done something that should have worked. Unfortunately the man hasn't posted here for a couple of years. (No jokes about crashes, please)

Keep in mind, this information is not meant for a first time builder or those without metal fabrication skills and/or the tools to do it right. It's just for discussion.

If I understand him right, this is a concept that Boxcar was talking about earlier when he said, "Picture a shock absorber mount".

That's an interesting system.
I found an old pic of one built by ( I think ) Manic. Don't quote me on that.
Unfortunately I have been unable to copy the picture ( wright protected ) .
It was a full plate mount adjustable to fit some frames then the motor was sandwich mounted to the adapter, similar to many 4 stroke mounts . I liked it the best so far for an off the shelf mount.
I just can't for the life of me find any info other than that 1 pic..... Damn it........
