Koro- my 2 cents is to NOT put a big motor like the 6.5 HF ( I do have one but it is in the frame) on the back of your bike. The smaller HF is over 20 pounds - even that will seem heavy.

No, I wouldn't "impulse-buy" - besides, I have no moneehhh!!! He says he'll "save" me a kit because I told him I'll have the resources to go ahead and buy by Feb. next year

professor:

I don't know what you mean by 6.5 HF (I know it's an engine model, right?) - It's a little 2 stroke engine, like "weedwacker" but slightly bigger...
Why would you not recommend that? Frame too weak, or become too top heavy?

Thank you all !!!

Just an opinion, but if asked, I'd say you'd be better off finding a cheap used
mtn. bike with a V-frame. Full suspension ain't all it's cracked up to be,
especially on a cheap FS bike. (expect a lotta down time)
If you do go with a rack mount, get a light reliable engine i.e.,
Honda GX35, Sooby 35, or a Tanaka 32 or 40. Save up the bucks,
and save yourself the headaches.
