SBP Expansion Chamber Question

In the kit there is a metal gasket to use when attaching the header to the exhaust port. I'm not a big fan of using metal gaskets because they don't conform to irregularities. Has anyone NOT used it and replaced it with gasket?

It definitely does not seal due to what u said about irregularities. Mine leaks gas and oil all over the front of the engine. I've heard to just either use gasket material, or gets some gasket maker solution. A few have used the metal gasket and used gasket solutions inbetween the port and the gasket and between the gasket and exhaust.
