Not usually, the Cdi is a sealed unit. When you replace the coil seal the cover and the wire feed through with rtv to keep the new coil dry.
 
Ok thanks for the help just ordered new mag hope i gets here fast i us the bike to get to work and around town. I us it every day there fun to use
