I use a 5ah 12 volt SLA from batteries.com for around $15. I run a headlight and tail light with it. If I hadn't been so lazy over the winter I would have installed turn signals too. I have everything I need to do that, but It's kind of hard for me to get into a project for something that I won't be able to use until spring. It's warming up though... maybe in a week or two I'll be out on the road once again.... I hope.

I currently use 8 AA bateries in a 2 dollar batt. holder from radio shack (that equals 12v) and it also fits under my seat....I use leds front and rear and has lasted since i put it in....but i think ill order the rechargeable above ty....but if someone wants 12v for 8 bucks then they can try the 8 battery holder from the shack.......J
