Hi all,
My name is Matt, I'm 18, and I have lurked around here and built a few bikes over the past couple years. I'm on my third bike now and I have this current setup;

CDH Power 2.4L frame
Suntour 100mm travel fork, mechanical. - - honestly, waaay better than a rigid one.
Random eBay mag wheels, 36t disc mounted spracket - - - we"ll get back to this

180mm disc brake, Clarks M2 Hydrualic 2 piston caliper

seat and post from my fixie
700MM bars.

Engine:
Zeda (I know) stage 2 with some decent port work done, they claim dyno at 5.18hp but i feel like its probably more like 3.75 to 4, idk.
OZ reed valve, engine is ported for it, so i don't think i can just delete it, but i like it anyway.

Anyways, My bolts for the rear sprocket stripped out, and i would like to build a stronger wheel, and a sprocket/disc brake combo too, was wondering what was out there

also, i hit like 43 MPH like what i feel is a redline, got a 75 jet in it now, high high rpm it seems to sputte rout, (ignition? i have stock cdi), but i have a good third of the throttle cable left? also anyone knwo that? but mainly the wheel

Coaster brake hub with a sprocket adapter that clamps on is a solution.

Dual disc is kind of gimmicky and expensive. Consider a 200 or 220mm disc with a quad piston caliper; trp t4, shimano quadiem? I think, all take the same pad so you can find in practically any shop. If you think right now that 2-piston is a one finger brake, you’ll be blown away by the quad. The sintered metal pads with heat sinks work well. I get a rear brake for the right side lever and shorten the hose as much as possible. The trp comes with a bleed kit too!

43mph is fast. you’re doing it right.

Thank you! and i was thinking about a coaster brake option but wasn't sure if the bearings in the hub would like it? I suppose about the same as any other bike wheel, i've just always been scared of internal hub mechs.

I feel you on the dual disc brakes, i was just wondering if there was a "right" way. Yeaaa I know that's a scary word, like "better" hahaha

and i was looking into a quad piston, what about that massive one from agk? too excessive?

idea, my dad was into moto GP back in the day, and he told me about a racer that i cant remember his name, but he lost feeling or movement in his braking leg so they made him a rear brake thumb lever. i have a modified fork lockout switch that would work with any mechanical brake, i knw this might seem weird, but i hate lever stacking and if i integrate front and rear brakes ill fab some kind of bias, i dont wanna though

EDIT: this lever would be on the left side of the bars

What's a good hoop and spoke combo? Also should I buy a cassette hub and do a jackshaft? I'm competent enough to make it all work, but if its gonna be constant maitence I'm not about it

Try these. big thick spokes, Try to get the Shimano hub. Call them. Cost is slightly more, but you get the best coaster brake avail, my opinion, Order with a 22 t sprocket, Fits really good with a 52t pedal sprocket,. Fill with grease before use.

Never had a shift kit., I prefer safe, simple, practical, reliable, cheap transport, basic maint. to and from work.

thanks, i appreciate that, but how do i mount the sprocket? i want to utilize the 6 bolt disc pattern, definately not a rag joint, and just clamping the hub seems sketchy

anyome make a drum hub with disc bolts too?

angry update: not really hahah, but grrrrrrr

found out the 6 bolt sprocket thing even with threadlock, has worked itself slighty loose, not to the point where anyone would see, but just enough so that the sprocket could slide around the now ovulated holes and cause an effect similar to chain slack when riding, but that motion anyways. i dont know if you guys know what i mean, ill try and post pics or videos


TLDR: my sprocket has ovulated holes becuase fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuccc
