Hey... Time for me to build a bike after hangin out with my buddies in Chacago over thanksgiving and runnin a couple of $100 china bikes they just got into. Hate to go to China for the kit ...any good USA kits out there? I will pay more to keep it at home!!

There are USA kits - check out the advertisers. we have a long winter ahead - do a lot of reading here.
A side note- only Ebikes are legal here. They were just made legal last spring. Some guys in NY do run china kits (carefully).

Welcome aboard and ask away once ya get your kit...unless you want to spend much more the china kits are the way to go. Dax is one of the more reputable ones here out of Colorado. bicycle engine kit, bike engine, bicycle engine, bicycle motor

Welcome from another NY member! These machines are too cool, I am in my first build and having fun with it. I am not sure where or how often I will be able to trot it out around here but I will cross that bridge in the spring. The build is fun and interesting on it's own and this is the place to read, learn, and ask.
