hey i was wondering if you took the plate on the side of the motor and stuck a sticker to it like skyhawk motors have or would it melt and would i have to get a sticker or a metal plate over it?
 
As long as you clean the metal with a good degreaser the sticker should last. The side covers don't get that hot. Most mylar stickers can take the heat. Some older, paper based decals/stickers could be effected but I wouldn't worry. I have a set of 'MOON' eyes on an engine. They were probably over ten years old when I put them on. They're still there. Good luck.
