question extended header or expantion pipe?

ive added about 18 inches to a modded (gutted w baffel cap) muffler and noticed great results especialy in terms of low end power and smoothness but cant deside on an expantion chamber can anyone who has done both give me any honest opinnion got pics of the new pipe on photo bucket looks like an extended poo poo pipe pics by klb6154 photobucket.com

I tryed the kidney expansion pipe (Really short bannana/kidney shaped one) had to bend it in my vise with some wooden blocks on either side to keep it from hiting my front tire.. But DAMN it rocks. RPM's have droped a little on the high end as it falls flat with no HP over 6000~ rpm.. but now I can climb hills that id never take before.. acceleration to near top speed is like, 50' and 5 seconds.. Before it was like 100' and 10 seconds with origional exhaust gutted.
