Porting is cleaning up or enlarging the intake, exhaust and transfer ports.
I suggest you stick with cleaning up only.
Don't hone the cylinder walls, they are chrome and don't need it.
You can file or grind any odd bumps off the ports as long as you
1) don't damage the chrome cylinder
2) chamfer the edges of the ports so it doesn't snag a ring or chip off the chrome.
