You can get lost in this, but what I did notice was that control winding CNW (is like the pickup coil not in the standard magneto) and CHW as usual is the charge winding. The primary and secondary of step up transformer at the end of the circuit, but its other parts are solid state with the automatic advance of the timing being part of it all.

Now that I know that there is this sensing rpm coil in the magneto of the Briggs part, I just wonder if the cheaper one with the the module and wires only needs to mount near the flywheel as it too has a rpm sensor coil inside the module. You know you just keep the magneto you have and only get a module, does it sense the rpm in anyway or not?
