pedal assist go cart

hey just wondering has onyone ever thought of the idea of putting a small mini qaud engine , say 49cc with gears on a pedal go cart, idea just poped into head, might be able to do after finish current project as know someone who rots at that kind of stuff and can easily get a second hand pedal go cart, something like this

Well there's 23tiny's 4 wheeler.
There are some photos of it on pages 5 through 7 in this thread, San Diego's 7th group ride (some very good photos of it on page 6).

does anyone have contact personally with 23tiny as I PMed him and got nothing back and its been a month, also I was thinking not along lines of what is up on youtubebut a true pedal assist instead of just engine straight to rear axle and pedal redundant

Gotta be careful with that 4th wheel though, you're getting into "car regulation" territory... even though its sub 50cc. Not sure what your laws are like in Ireland, but that's something to think about.
