is it worth buying clutch pads or the plate with the pads allready in it pads$8 plate and pads$60 the bloke trying to sell it to me said its to hard to change the pads youself they will fall out. is he full of ****e and just trying to rip me?auflg

I am guessing u r talking about a 50 or 80cc ht motor ,if so check the vender sites at the sides of the page and save 30 or more dollars

just get the pads. there's really no way they'll "fall out" 'cause you just shove them in there. if they try to fall out when you're installing them, just lean the bike over so they can't.

in fact, a lot of people shave them down so they "float" inside the plate. it makes them grab better.

That is nice to know they sell both circular and squared pads at PirateCycles.

But yeah, I concur - just get the clutch pucks, it's really unnecessary to get the whole loaded ring.

You are actually better off if the pads are loose enough to fall out. You may have to take a file or sand paper to the edges to obtain a loose fit.
