I just found this pic while looking for info on my WestBend 2hp Shrimp outboard.
Thinking abt taking it apart to power a bike, but having second thoughts because someone might like to have it, and swap me a nib china kit for it.
I dunno...
But I just HAD to bring this pic over, for the fun of it!

I wonder if anyone has ever built a bike from an outboard motor. That would be interesting to see.

I'm sorry... Got balled up about the time I saw the wrong pic got posted and I could not delete the post...

And it's AOMCI.org...

Anyhow, they have a slideshow on their main page, and a bicycle came up with an outboard motor mounted to a luggage rack. I think it was a Scott-Atwater, but can't even recall that, now.

What they had done was replace the prop with an aluminum drive wheel. The engine hung down behind the rear wheel, and used friction drive against the tread of the tire.

I'm not a member there, so I don't even know if I can ask where the pic went to or if there is any more info...

I'll try to find it again.

When searching for more outboard powered bikes I found this T72a Bugatti 12cc supercharged engine built for a Peugeot bicycle.

It's neato!
