Here's my latest diversion...

It's called a mbira, kalimba, finger piano... buncha other things...

Simple to build and does make interesting tunes.

I used a cedar fence-board scrap, spokes cut 6" long from a busted wheel, a few strips of oak, and a pair of sheetrock screws.

This one uses 9 spokes. A google image search will come up with any number of ideas.

it's kinda fun!
