I live in northern Illinois. Have a 1998 Whizzer Ambasador. Question why newer Whizzer's have the 1" spacer between carb and intake? I removed mine and it seems to run ok, but it's to cold to test ride now.

The Spacer keeps the fuel from boiling, best to keep one on there. Cut it down to 3/8" or 1/2"
Open it up to match the same size as the intake port.

That's sortof what I was thinking. The fuel nowdays with Ethanol vaporizes and boils easy.

here are some pictures of 1998 Ambasador. I replaced the CVT with a manual disc clutch, and moved the the left handed rear brake to a right foot brake. I will rework carb spacer and reinstall. Brian
P S I guess I have to reduce the picture file size.

Welcome geezer! My phenolic spacer's undersized port under my Whizzer carb was to restrict performance. I reamed it out to the carb's size and the engine perked up!
