New slant head install

Should i use 2 gaskets on my slanthead install i am getting from kings?

Depends on piston to deck.

Clearance between piston and head. To check it, place a dab of clay on the EDGE (the tightest area) of the piston crown, then lightly oil the head to prevent clay sticking and install the head normally (with gasket and torqued to spec). Then turn the engine over slowly to compress the clay. Remove head and measure thickness of the compressed clay. You want a minimum of .030 squish. (measured at the edge of the piston.)
If less than .030 clearance, I prefer two base gaskets to raise deck as it's more reliable than two head gaskets.
