Has anybody tried to put new rings in an old cylinder?
My cylinder still has patches of clear cross hatch, areas of polished smooth metal and some worrying looking scuff lines.
After a regrettable adventure down the road of Castor oil... I had to decarbonise my piston head after I found carbon on the piston top edge above the 1st ring scuffing the cylinder. Ever since putting it back together it has lost a bit of power.
A new cylinder and rings is pretty cheap anyway, just curious if anyone had attempted to throw new rings in a worn cylinder
