New guy in Tucson Arizona

Hi there, hopefully new friends!
I recently bought a Motorized bicycle from someone local and am having quite a few issues with it so far so I am hoping to get help by browsing around this website. The guy who built it referred me here as a place to get help, sadly he appears to have gone MIA now that I am finding out I may have gotten a bum deal.
I hope I can find what I need here to get this thing going consistently.

So far I have gotten to ride my new bike about 2 or 3 hours... I've spent about 5 hours working on it though, including tightening fasteners, trying to stop a few fuel leaks, and changing a tire. I am going to start lurking around and seeing if I can get information on what I am having issues with before it catches fire lol.
