My bike is sputtering miss firing and runs slow, is this a timing problem??

What does your plug look like? Black and oily/sooty? Light grey?
How old is your gas mix?
What kind of engine?

thanks for replying, it's a raw motor "48"cc, gas mixture is new, plug is black but not oily. I also asked about the mag. , it may have gotten a little damp, would that be the problem?
